SIMULATED ENTERPRISES - AN EFFICIENT, MODERN AND ATTRACTIVE WAY FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING

» Abstract. The Higher Education in Romania is in constant search for new improvement means of its specifically forms of manifestation, new ways of development of the instruction progress of the students. The accent is more and more put on the practical activities, on the active participation of the students at all the didactic activities. The simulated enterprises - organized as multidisciplinary laboratories - were evaluated and characterized as a very suitable and efficient method of training. Worldwide success of networks of simulated enterprises motivated the appearance of organization initiatives of simulated enterprises in Romania, some of them already functional and affiliated to EUROPEN. In the paper are presented the actions development by the authors for organizing at Transilvania University of Brasov of a simulated enterprise. There are specified the objectives that this future simulated enterprise proposes, its addressability, the activities already finalized and the results that were obtained.

A NEW CONSTRUCTIVE VARIANT OF TYPE I LINKAGE - GENESIS AND APPLICATION

» Abstract. Today’s industrial environment specifically demanded the conceiving of a device for sensitive delivery of rods, usable for automatic machines by cold forming. The researches lead to an original solution, with several variant, witches is based on a new constructive solution of linkage. The paper synthetically presents the genesis of this new solution, including the theoretical aspect. It is also highlighted the originality of this device that uses the described linkage.

STRATEGIC POSSIBILITIES OF THE ENGINEER-ECONOMIC SPECIALIZATION IN BRASOV UNIVERSITY

» Abstract. Most technical universities have developed, in the last ten years, the engineer-economic specialization. It’s mission in to prepare engineer specialists that can develop there careers by solving the complex problems that appear at the interface company – external environment, in the context of Romanian market economy. The big market demand for these specialists is sustained by the academic offer but the Romanian economic environment dynamic needs a continuous improvement of the curricula. The strategic point of view that can be taken about the engineering – economical specialization and specialist offer the possibilities to identifier new perspective for the academic program.

REGARDING POST-FACTUM ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL STUDIES FINALITY

» Abstract. Every economical and financial study has to finish with an optimal set of measures that is looking to improve activity. In many cases the biggest numbers of measures don’t allowed selecting the optimal measure. Consequently, is necessary systemization of these measures and their application based on realistic program.

PATERNATS RECOGNITION IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

» Abstract. In the recognition mechanism of a paternat from a data base, by a expert system, the hardest problem is that the gathered data from the environment must be transferred to a “short time” memory. The data must be selected and hierarhization by importance. Not all the gathered data contribute to the establishment of the paternat. The selection of the data influence or not the establishment of a paternat is very difficult to modelate mathematically. In the paper is presented a model of selection of those facts and rules that would lead to the identification of the most propitious paternat in the shortest time possible.

SUPERFINISHING TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE TIGHTNESS SURFACES OF THE GATE VALVE DN3

» Abstract. The paper presents the technology and the equipment for superfinishing the surface of the scaling ring in the Wedge Gate Valve DN3. This constructive solution makes possible the processing of the tightening surfaces with a device adaptable on the normal late. The main advantages are a great productivity and the possibility to eliminate the placing and fastening errors.

EVALUATION OF RESEARCH CENTER FOR MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS AND MACHINES

» Abstract. In the paper is shown the stages and the results of the evaluation of research center for manufacturing systems and machines (CCMSP), in the period June 2000 and March 2001. As results of CNCSIS evaluation, the CCMSP center was classified as B type, and is occupied the sixth place at national level.

THE SPECIALIZATION “MANUFACTURING ORGANIZING AND PLANNING” – THE ANSWER TO THE ACTUAL AND FUTURE REQUESTS OF THE ROMANIAN ECONOMY

» Abstract. A complete higher educational profile is defined through all of the three forms (short, long and postgraduate), between them existing a bond and being build “bridges” or passing conditions between one to another. The specialization “Manufacturing organizing and planning” – college has as main objective to establish a real and efficient synergy between the different components of the productive activity: the technique, labor force and materials resources. This specialization is situated to the junction between the engineering / technical field and the economical one, the professional competence being builds upon the interference of the two domains (technical and economical one).

WEAR BEHAVIOUR OF TiN, Ti(C,N) AND (Ti,AL)N THIN FILMS COATED ON HIGH-ALLOYED STEELS

» Abstract. Within the frame of this work, Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition was used in order to prepare hard coatings, TiN, Ti(C,N) and (Ti,Al)N types, on high-alloyed tool steels. The tribological properties of the coatings have been investigated by friction coefficient, roughness and microhardness measurements. Wear tests were carried out in order to establish the weight loss. An X-ray diffraction analysis was used to investigate the structure, grain size and residual-stress levels. GD-OES and SEM analysis were used to obtain the concentration depth profiles of constitutive elements and to estimate the coatings surface morphology respectively. For all that, the smallest values were registered in the case of (Ti,Al)N variant and biggest in the case of Ti(C,N) variant. Referring to the friction characteristics, the friction coefficient values depend on the compound nature and the work friction temperature depends on the layer roughness values. Generally, the wear tests revealed good and similar results for the TiN and Ti(C,N) layers. According with the experimental results, a moderate residual compressive-stress and a high hardness are necessary, to reach a good durability of layers.

THE METHOD OF PROCESSING THE EXTERNAL SURFACES BY SUPERFINISHING

» Abstract. The paper presents a method and a constructive solution for processing rod-type work-pieces with different lengths and diameters by superfinishing with abrasive stones, on a four-working-units machine. With this constructive solution is possible the achievement of a high quality for the external cylindrical surfaces especially for the work-pieces with great length and small diameter.

DEMATERIALIZATION OF THE PRODUCTS – RESOURCE OF DURABLE UTILIZATION IN THE MACHINERY BUILDING

» Abstract. Some aspects regarding ecological design of the products are presented in this paper. Particularly, are evidenced some possibilities for reduction consumptions of metals in the machinery building using the information like resource. There are count some possibilities for reduction metal consumption in the field building machine-tools and are proposals two criterions for economizes estimation. The design in the durable utilization principle is an important resource for obtains ecological products and there fore it is recommended for the designers.

STUDY CONCERNING THE "5S" OF THE MAINTENANCE IN THE ROMANIAN FIRMS

» Abstract. The property and the clean look of the enterprise, describe by the "5S" (SEITON/arranging, SEIRI/order, method, SEISSO/inspection, control, SEIKETSU/property, SHITSUKE/discipline, respect) is the most amazing result of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). This study has as objective the identification of the Romanian firms' position towards the acceptance of the rigors imposed by this concept. An original audit methodology pointed out the 5S enterprises development level, showing that only a part of the principles is respected so far. The research proved the existence of the same tendencies in almost all-Romanian firms.
